Butch Puckett

Butch Puckett, 47, of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014, at his residence after a brief illness.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Dorsey and Pauline Estep Puckett.
Butch was a retired metal tradesman with Bristol Metals. He was a former member of Old Horseshoe Free Will Baptist Church and was a current member of East Fairview Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Faye McNeal.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Donna Moore Puckett; three daughters, Carlina Reeser and husband Clinton, Johnson City, Jeannie Puckett, of the home, and Kim Jones, Elizabethton; a son, Scotty Puckett, Elizabethton; seven grandchildren; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Vada Moore, Elizabethton; and two special nephews.
The graveside service for Mr. Puckett will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, September 22, in the Patton-Simmons Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Adkins officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Scotty Puckett, Mike Schultz, Jeff Smithpeters, Kelly Anderson, Carl W. Moore and Daryl Beam. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence. Condolences may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
