Soccer: Lady Jr. Cyclones lose tightly contested title tilt

JOHNSON CITY—It was a group of very heartbroken young ladies at Kermit Tipton Stadium on Thursday night after playing their hearts out — only to fall just short.

And at the same time, it was a group of young ladies who were very proud that they went toe-to-toe with a program in a city that is much bigger with many more resources.

The T.A. Dugger Lady Junior Cyclones played one of the most memorable matches in school history. After taking the match to a scoreless tie, they fell in penalty kicks and ended up losing 3-1 to powerhouse Liberty Bell.
