Vicky Lynn Lovelace, 60, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at her residence after a brief illness
A native of Dearborn, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Earl and Emily Mull Wooten. She had lived in Tennessee since 1980.
Vicky was a 1999 graduate of the School of Nursing, East Tennessee State University. She had worked at various nursing homes and her last work was at Woodridge. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Lovelace, September 11, 2002; two brothers, Michael Carl Wooten and Dennis Allen Wooten; and a sister, Betsy Spisak.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Lovelace, of the home; a son, Michael Lovelace and Susan Torres, Johnson City; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Hamblen and Judy Merritt; and two brothers, Richard Wooten and David Wooten. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Vicky Lynn Lovelace will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, October 27, at Hopwood Christian Church with the Rev. Greg Lovelace officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Vicky to Amedysis Hospice, 167 Hudson Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
