Local police are asking for the public’s help in locating a Carter County man who has been missing for several days.
On Wednesday, deputies of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the county to speak with family members of Bobby Joe Russell. The family members said Russell, who is 61 years old, had not been seen since around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, and they were concerned for his well-being.
“According to family members, Russell has a host of medical issues, including heart problems and extensive health problems relating to diabetes,” said a released statement from the Carter County Sheriff’s Office. “Russell is also dependent upon medical oxygen and left with only a two-hour supply.”
Russell is described as being 5’9” tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has graying brown hair and green eyes. Russell drives a 1997 Red Honda Civic bearing Tennessee license plate registration 852 WZT.
