Cyclones pin an 8-1 loss on KACHEA in soccer play

The Elizabethton Cyclones played host to KACHEA for a non-conference soccer match on an overcast but comfortable evening for soccer at Citizens Bank Stadium Thursday.

Scoring five goals in the first half, the Cyclones showed they weren’t taking anything for granted to go on and record the 8-1 victory.

To say Braden Holly had his head in the game would be an overstatement as Holly recorded the hat trick in goals knocking in all three with headers that came from corner kicks.

Luke Bernshausen recorded two assists on Holly’s goals with the other coming from Evan Fulmer.

Holly scored twice in the first half as Holston Howard got things going earlier in the half with the game’s first goal.

Fulmer followed suit by blasting in a goal for Elizabethton with Jaxton Holly making it a three-goal advantage before Braden Holly’s two scores.

Max Peterson and Jake Hardin accounted for two of the three second-half scores for Elizabethton as Braden Holly added his third score as well.

Cyclone goalkeeper Noah Lambert recorded 18 saves in the contest allowing only the one goal to KACHEA.
