Beloved, Patty L. Bennett, age 66, was called away to join her parents, Eugene E. Laws and Mary Lou Laws, in heaven, on July 25, 2021, at 1:43 a.m.
Patty was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. Her greatest passion, other than her family, was bowling. Additional favorite pastimes included singing, dancing, cooking and bingo.
She was the Southern Nevada Bowling Association league and tournament manager for four years. She worked as an office manager for First Metropolitan for over 10 years. Other jobs included working as a TSA security guard at the Tri Cities Airport and also work as a freelance travel agent. She volunteered for both the American Red Cross and hurricane relief programs.
Patty’s contagious laugh, smile and sense of humor touched and helped shape the lives of many throughout her life. She had a gift for comforting and uplifting those in need. She knew how to make people feel special.
Those left to cherish her memory: husband, Richard L. Bennett; three daughters, Dawn Petrick (Jeff Petrick), Christy Dills (Jeff Dills) and Stephanie Lewton (Brad Lewton); five grandchildren, Jeffery Dills (Haley Dills), Bradley Dills (Hailey Dills), Breanna Dills, Jaxson Lewton and Savannah Lewton; two brothers, Steven Laws (Karen Laws) and Michael Laws (Sue Laws); aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and burial, in her honor, scheduled for August 25 at 2 p.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nev. A celebration of life will be tentatively scheduled in future months for her friends and family residing in Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association on her page (Patty Bennett). https://www2.heart.org/site/TR/Funraiser/Generalpx=22015408&pg=personal&fr_id=3930
