Sycamore Shoals State Park will host a Raised Bed Gardening Seminar from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The first session of the seminar series will focus on raised bed gardening. Master Gardener Ben Hunter will share his experiences and techniques for growing the garden of your dreams. Those attending the seminar are asked to meet in the Visitors Center Gathering Room. The seminar is sponsored by the Northeast Tennessee Master Gardeners Association. Reservations are required.
Boozy Creek Community Center, 1989 Shelleys Road, Bristol, Va., (276-466-0026) will hold a Fish and Chicken Meal at 4 p.m. Music will be provided by Dennis Crawford, “Harlan County Grass” from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The Center has been having great attendance, fantastic food and wonderful bands!
