Lady Cyclones grab 38th consecutive win

With their 96-26 victory over Sullivan North, the Lady Cyclones snatched their 38th straight win, tying Science Hill for the most consecutive games won in Tri-Cities area in girls basketball.

Elizabethton was led to their groundbreaking victory by Kayla Marosites, who totaled 18. Her sister, Kelci, followed with 13.

With the win, the Lady Cyclones improved to 7-0 in the Three Rivers Conference and 18-0 overall.

Elizabethton will travel to Unicoi to compete with Lady Blues Devils, who are coming off a 51-44 victory to Happy Valley.

The EHS Boys improved their record to 6-1 in the TRC and 12-8 overall with a 68-59 victory over Sullivan North.

Leading the way was Tyler Nichols, who had a double-double, with 18 points and 11 rebounds. He was helped along by a 12-point game from Bo Pless.
