Lady Jr. Rangers win big versus Johnson County
It was nothing but cruise control for the Lady Jr. Rangers.
Unaka Elementary brought a mean swing at the plate, led by a Taylor Shanks home run, and rode a solid performance in the circle from pitcher Corie Schuettler to score a 13-1 decision in five innings against Johnson County Thursday evening in Stoney Creek.
The win scooted head coach James Pearson’s team to 15-2 on the season. His crew got things going early when left fielder Sydney Markland brought home shortstop Macie Herrmann to take an early 1-0 advantage at the end of the first frame.
