T.A. Dugger softball team thumps John Sevier

On a spring day that’s held to celebrate careers, it’s only fitting to see some young girls blossoming.

The T.A. Dugger Lady Cyclones beat Sevier 11-1 on eighth-grade day. The win was credited to the arms and bats of the celebrants who played all nine positions.

“All the eighth-graders stepped it up,” T.A. Dugger head coach Bonnie Peters said. “They got great hits and played great defense.”

Two of those girls, Lauren Brickey and Kellie Cunningham, combined to pitch a no-hitter to lead TA Dugger.
