Lady Buffs take first, Buffs second in AAC championships
It was a successful week for the Milligan track program as it hosted the Appalachian Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships at Kermit Tipton Stadium on the campus of Science Hill High School.
Things were even better as the Buffaloes placed first in women’s competition and second in men’s as a team, picking up numerous conference titles along the way.
“We came out here and really accomplished some really neat things as individuals, which equated to us to winning a team title and finishing second,” Milligan head coach Chris Layne said.
While it is the Buffs’ ultimate goal to win any meet they compete in, they take a strategic approach to meets, given the unique rules of the sport.
