Piney Bluff chisels out spot in Babe Ruth final

A cross-town rivalry took center stage on Tuesday night during a Babe Ruth tournament semifinal game in Elizabethton, as Piney Bluff defeated Bluff City 12-1 to advance to the championship game on Thursday.
“It was a tough game and we started out a little bit slow,” Piney Bluff head coach Eric McCracken said. “We had to work through some early inning troubles and then we were able to persevere and put some hits together at the right time when we needed them.”
