The Highlanders struck early and that is all it took.

Cloudland used a first quarter touchdown by Zac Benfield to take a 6-0 victory over Avery County (N.C.) at MacDonald Stadium on Friday night;

“It is always good to get a win,” Cloudland Head Coach Brock Pittman said. “It was sloppy and we had a lot of penalties. They had a lot of penalties and we turned the ball over a couple of times. We have a lot of things we need to correct up front, but when it came down to it on final drive we got it done.”
