Big plays helped Happy Valley picked up its first win of the season Thursday thanks to a 22-14 victory over Hampton in middle school football action on eighth-grade night at J.C. Campbell Stadium.

“We showed up tonight, it was good to see,” said Jr. Warriors head coach Adam Copeland. “We played two good games the last two outings and four or five plays have made the difference — and tonight four or five plays made the difference. We were lucky to be on the right side of it.”
