Area women’s football team in the works

It is a whole new world for women looking to get on the gridiron.
A new women’s full-contact team, the Tri-Cities Thunder, is coming to the area and the squad is in search for a few good women, according to player/founder Jennifer Johnson.
“We’ve got 20 right now,” Johnson said. “We’re looking to have a team of 30 women. There’s no cost to join because we are donation-based, so all you need to be 18 years old or older and want to enjoy the sport.”
