JOHNSON CITY — A University of Alabama legend made a trip to Rocky Top this week. However, he was a man who is really hard for even the most diehard University of Tennessee fan to dislike.
Shaun Alexander, who is probably more well known for helping Seattle to a 2006 Super Bowl appearance against the Pittsburgh Steelers, spoke at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes lunch at Grace Fellowship Church on Wednesday afternoon.
Alexander told his story of faith to the group, mainly about the time Alabama played LSU as a freshman when, after two injuries to upperclassmen, he went into the game and rushed for 292 yards and four touchdowns.
However, his experiences of playing Tennessee during the Peyton Manning era were not as special.
