Big wrestling card to benefit CC Sports Hall of Fame

NWA Smoky Mountain will host Cyclone Stampede on Saturday at Elizabethton High School at 8 p.m. as a fundraiser for the Carter County Hall of Fame.

Tri-Cities’ own Chase “The Crown Jewel” Owens will highlight the card in the main event against “Ironman” Rob Conway for the NWA World Heavyweight championship. The night will mark the first time ever the world heavyweight title will be defended in Carter County.

“I’ve done stuff with all the big companies,” Owens said. “I was on WWE Smackdown and wrestled Ryback, wrestled for Ring of Honor, TNA twice, three-time NWA World Junior Heavyweight champion.
