Elizabethton Tenn. — Elizabethton’s largest computer store, Computer Pros, along with Ultra Systems, owned by Donnie Blair, recently announced a definitive merger agreement to provide more efficient services for clients.

The merger with Ultra Systems further increases Computer Pros’ share of the IT sales and service market.

“The combination of Ultra Systems with our fully stocked showroom will allow us to provide even less downtime for our continually growing client base” said Shawn Miller, President of Computer Pros. “This merger is expected to expand Computer Pros’ services and allow more clients to keep their business within Carter and Washington County as opposed to contacting a provider from another area.”

Computer Pros will utilize the Ultra Systems technicians advanced skill set to continue to provide the area’s best service to its customers. Computer Pros is in the process of evaluating the company’s various policies and procedures to find the best solutions for its customers.

Miller stated, “The integration of both companies will take place over the next few weeks. Our clients will continue to receive the same high quality IT services with which they have come to expect. Most clients will still have the same technician coming out to do their service and maintenance.”

Computer Pros bought Ultra Systems and will henceforth operate under the name Computer Pros. The merger was accomplished over the course of about six months.

“We realized the technicians and clients of Ultra Systems would be a valuable asset to our company and came to a solution that would benefit both of us. This will allow us to become a one stop shop for all commercial and residential IT needs,” Miller said.

Computer Pros was originally founded in 1996 in Johnson City and renamed as Computer Pros in 2007. The Elizabethton location was established in 2011. Computer Pros has expanded to three locations: Bristol, Elizabethton, and Greeneville. It is known as being a leader in IT sales and service and currently serves a wide area from Abingdon, VA to Knoxville, TN.
