Ramsey retires 16 batters: Rangers top Twin Springs, 4-0

Unaka pitcher John Ramsey was on target Thursday as the Rangers topped Twins Springs, 4-0, in Stoney Creek.

During the nonconference contest, Ramsey tossed six innings during which he didn’t allow a single hit or run. Ramsey finished the contest with 16 strikeouts against one walk.

Unaka’s Blake King came in to relieve Ramsey in the seventh and finished with a strikeout and one hit against.

The Rangers got on board in the first inning as Unaka’s Bryson Street had a two-RBI single to net teammates Davy Ensor and King.

In the bottom of the fourth, Unaka’s Daniel Ensor came home from third on a groundout by Rangers Dakota Gallimore.

Unaka posted one more run in the fifth as King scored on an error at first base.

Unaka’s Hunter Rice, Daniel Ensor, Street, King, and Davy Ensor all had hits in the contest.
