Carter County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call of a shooting on Blue Springs Road about 9:24 a.m. Thursday.

When deputies arrived they found one victim with multiple gunshot wounds and took one suspect into custody.

The CCSO said that the scene had been secured and cleared and the victim had been transported to the hospital.

This is a developing story as CCSO investigators are working on the case with more information to be released as soon as the sheriff’s office is able to do so.
