The Elizabethton Lady Cyclones win second game in a row defeating Providence Academy in four sets.
The Lady Cyclones volleyball team came out strong taking the first two sets 25-12, 25-19, before losing the third set 24-26. Elizabethton bounced back taking the final set 25-21 on Thursday night in John Treadway Gym.
Gracie Kirsch once again led the Cyclones offensive effort with 13 kills followed by Ainsley Wampler with 9; Krisalyn Elliott with 7 and Zoe Proffitt with 6.
The Cyclones’ defense was led by Gracie Kirsch with 34 digs followed by Bailee Vanhuss and Zyliegh Bates with 18; and Marley Lewis with 18.
The win raises the Lady Cyclones season record to 2-3-0 in conference and 6-6-0 overall.
The Lady Cyclones will travel to Sullivan County on September 6 to take on West Ridge and then host the No. 6 ranked Tennessee High Vikings on Sept. 8 in a conference battle at Elizabethton High School.
