In a race two weeks ago in Columbia, S.C., Nolan Tankersley basically saw his day come to a halt. Tankersley though, had other plans.

In an amazing display of determination and sportsmanship, the Milligan College sophomore cyclist and Unicoi County High School graduate saw his bike break in a big race in the Palmetto State on the last lap.  And instead of going ahead packing it in for the day, he ran the last lap and ended up finishing 16th to help give the Buffaloes all the points he could.
