Milligan looking to build on super start

An evolution of sorts is taking place on the hardwood inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse for the men of the Milligan Buffaloes basketball squad.

One that is using the players maturity and their coaches wisdom to have them off to the best start in a quarter century at 8-1. Their first loss came just days ago at Division II Lee, 86-80.

That progression is taking place on the defensive side of the ball where Milligan ranks second in the nation in field goal percentage defense, fifth in the nation in three-point field goal percentage defense and eighth in scoring defense, allowing only 62 points per game.
